IF your jsut starting, heres a tip. Buy things that aren't particualr to your gun for now. More then likely your gnna want to move to a different gun, so get a REALLY good mask. i made the mistake of cheaping out on that thinking they were all the same, but they arent. Get a profiler or invision. Get a good hopper, and maybe a CA (compressed air) tank. If you need any help at all, AIM me at StreetRacingT3ch Ill be glad to help out.
what gun do u have now? if u have a spyder/tippy then id go for a TES or if u can afford n2, then get a bko. if u dont have a gun as of now get a spyder/tippy fo sho

omg your telling him to waste some of his money on a spyder or tippmann? if he asked for a gun in the range of 300-400 dollars, dont tell him to get a spyder or tippmann, thats over 200 dollars less than what he asked.
Get a good gun before you get good equipment. a 20 dollars mask will work with a good gun, rather than having a 70 dollars mask with a crappy gun.

im really not trying to be mean, but i have to constantly disagree with quite a few of ur posts. first of all, u cant judge wht anyone is saying, becuase we dont have enough information to suggest what he really should get, what if he has no gun? then a beginner gun wouldnt be a bad idea. And you are completely wrong about haveing cheap gear and a better setup. Being comfortable is one of the most important things in paintball. a $20 mask will fog and be uncomfortable and such, and might not last as long as a $45 + mask.
Its worth it to spend more on the equipment. and u didnt even suggest a marker for him, u just flamed, so get out of the thread. you're useless.

depends, mid range i woudl say impulse, mines for sale, hint hint. Will go 425 w/ a egg. Aim me if u want.
But really. Get a good gun before good equipment. I use 20 buck gogs w/ a timmy on the way? Who cares. Theres jt, so not extremely bad gogs, got 2 pairs of em, 1 therm 1 single. W/e a good gun u don't need gogs in the first place, take the 70 that invisions or profilers cost, stick em in a gun, thats quite alot into a gun..................buy used gear at first, like packs hoppers, even guns. Personlay if the price is right i woudl rather get a used over a new, as long as it is under 1-2 years old.
U can get some pretty nice used guns in that range, including some 2k2 and before angels, and still have $$$
i have a tippman not such a great gun. you see me and my friends thinken of entern some local tourneys and we need better than tippys to eve get close to winnin.
If you've ever had a mask fog up on you during a big game, you know what itmeans to get a better mask. Don't skimp on good equipment. If you and your friends are entering tourneys then you might want to get aa decent gun and practice alot. It doesn't matter if you guys have BKOs and Imps, if you cant ball(not saying you cant btw) your not going to win. Its better to have Spyders and tippys, but have some experience under your belt.
Well if you already have a gun..go with an 03 Cocker and keep it mech...it will work for both speed and woods. Then get yourself a nice mask (if the gear isn't included in the 300-400 price range you set out.)
If you are completely new to the sport, get a Spyder. A Tippmann would be nice but you play speedball too, and a Tippmann won't work well there. An E-Spyder like the E-99 will work great to begin with and I think it's only 150 to 180. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

i got my spyder imagine off a guy and it had two previouse owners turns out he sold it to me cause it wasn't fireing properly so i got it for $70. it came with a gay electro hopper and a smart parts barrel. now all you have to make shure you do with the spyders is keep the lubed up the other guys didn't and so it wouldn't fire corectly. now you say you have like 300-400 to spend. now look at some bad ass upgrades i got the Kingman ACS Delrin Bolt for like $55 and Palmers Pursuit Shop Stabilizer Regulator for like $75 dollars. then you can throw a nice N2 tank on there. maby upgrade the handle and pow you have enought cash for good equipment and good gun.

^^^^NOOB. A sypder is not a nice gun, no matter if it is worth 20 bucks, or 2000, it is still a spyder. Damn, if u had thought before u bought u coudl have a new bko or a used b2k4......................i feel for u man.
Also those timmys are not gonna sell for 300, prolly go for 400-500. Classics are good, but since they are a few years old, u have to worry about condition. A classic will rip like a 2k2, but it just ain't as good.

get a mag, tunamart.com has good deals on them, also automags.org u can find a good used settup.

If your looking for a mech gun, get a mag. Its in your price range and one of the fastest mechs out there. Or get a bko or impulse, keep in mind you still need a hpa tank. is it $400 for just the gun? or a whole setup.
