Im a complete noob to paintball, and i just got my kit today, a vl triad. i was in a hurry and on a budget so i bought 2 200 ct boxes of wild streak paint. i havn't been able to try them with my marker cause i need to fill my co2 tank, so i resorted to throwing them and noticed that they where very runny. is this normal in paint or are they just as good as water in a capsule? also if you could tell me some good quality paint to use that would be great. thx
wild streak is like colored water in paintballs, not sure what the best paintballs are but evils are pretty good, but pretty much every paintball is better then wild streak
most RPS, draxxus, diablo, and evil paintballs are good stuff. all those companies make lots of different kinds of paintballs, but any kind will be better than wild streak.
Yes Wild streaks are extremely hard shelled paint with a very watery fill. Horrible paint. Good budget paint is BE afterburners. Can be had for 1500 balls for $35.
a watery ,runny paint is a bad thing.. not very visable and soaks in so fast that it is hard to tell if some one is hit sometimes.. a thick, bright gooey fill is best.. rps/pmi makes good paint...
Wild/Blue streak paint is often not allowed even on BYOP fields as the shells can (and have) caused some nasty cuts when they break. The shells are a lot thicker and are less fragile then other paints.
I would reccomend the scorch, or any of the draxxus products as they are inexpensive and are decent paints for general rec use.
get zap rec series the fills basically pudding and it has a good shell that are hard to chop but wont feel like a marbel and you can get a case for 35 dollars ive had the bolt get stopped by one of these and i had to recock and then the ball shot fine
