Can't Identify paintball gun??????? What's it worth?

I got a Paintball gun and I don't know the company and the mods on it. I was told the gun is worth 700 but I don't know how accurate that is. I have the original barrel, pure energy tank that holds 3000psi, 1' dye Ultralight barrel. The gun has a dye sticky grip and a CP mount. I want to sell all of it as a bundle. The gun is clean and does not have any cosmetic damage or mechanical problems. What is the name of the gun? What is the price range for the bundle? What is the most you would pay for all of it?

Unfortunately that gun is worth nowhere near $700. it's probally worth about $75-$150. Maybe $200 if you get lucky.

It's a 2004 WGP prostock.

Aftermarket parts:
DYE sticky grips
CP drop forward
Smart parts(?) ASA
DYE stainless steel barrel (I think)
Maybe a non-stock bolt? It doesn't look like anything special, but it's different than what it came with from the factory.

180 my ass..... well i see the gun on ebay for $200, the pure energy carbon fiber tank goes for about $140, the DYE Ultralite barrel is $130 and lets say the sticky grip and CP drop forward and tank case is $50-$80 maybe more. altogether that is about 550. Now you go ahead and tell me how you got 180 bud. I would say $300 altogether 250 the lowest.

Complete Dye 2 Piece Barrels (barrel)

PMI Pure Energy 68/4500 Basic Tank - 5 Year Hydro - High Pressure Output (tank)

WGP Autococker 2004 Prostock Pewter | eBay

(The gun by itself is 200)

Just because they're asking for that price, doesn't mean it will sell for that price. There's no need to be combative with anyone, we're giving honest opinions here based on what we have experience with.

That tank might sell for $140 brand new, but a used tank of that age won't fetch more than $60. It's been quite a while since they made 3000psi fiber wrapped tanks.

Yhe dye grips and the asa/drop combination will add nothing to the value of the package. It would seem as if it would, but it doesn't. If you're looking to make the most money off of this, the best thing to do would be to part it out, and then sell the gun by itself without an ASA or grips on it.

Ya I agree with martix, about 5 years ago I purchased a used 05 superstock, which is typically a more desirable body and comes with a e frame stock at right about 200.I doubt you would get 200 for it but you could always list it at 200 with a obo and see what you can get. Get us a photo of the writing on the other side of the tank and we can tell you if the tank is any good or not.

Realize that just because someone told you it was worth 700 doesn't mean they were right

Paintball has a large depreciation curve, for instance if I go buy a brand new marker at 1500 right now, in one year I would be lucky to get 900 for it. There are some markets that go up in value but this is not one of them by a long shot

Yeah, sorry to agree with them, but that's a $80 marker, with a probably out of hydro 3000 psi tank ($50), and what looks like a 1 piece ultralight (much less desirable and worth much less) ($40). That's $170 for a package.

Guys I don't know **** about paintball. I want to take all of it to a pawn shop or sell it on ebay so I can put the money towards a Walther PPQ M2 NAVY. the barrel is 2 piece DYE Ultralite $130 new bud and the tank says 88u. Also Leight weight shock tech auto cocker bolt. So how can I pitch this to the pawn shop. I doubt they know much about the paintball market depreciation and know what to research. I can always say I got a quote from another pawn shop for 250. So what do you say, pawn shop or ebay and tell me why if you don't mind.

you came to us asking for help. there's no need to insult me. and in case you haven't noticed, everyone in this thread is in the same ballpark.

As for the pawnshop comment, most pawnshops dont know jack about paintball either, so you could fleece them over, but you're asking members of the paintball community

You can't make them seem like they need it that's the problem, if they don't know what it is they are not going to pay top dollar for it. Chances are they will treat it like the rest of the typical paintball stuff they get like tippmann 98s and piranhas and offer you $30

I'm not saying don't try but the reality of your situation is you have a marker that you can get around 150 out of, someone mistakenly told you that it was worth 700 and you have been stuck on that ever since. If you bought a car brand new in 2004 you wouldn't expect to sell it for anywhere close to its original price would you? So then why are you trying to do that for this marker?

Obvious insults or not, your attitude in this thread isn't the greatest. You scoff at our appraisals and balk at our information.
If you go to a pawn shop with that package, expect no more than $100 at the maximum price. Pawn shops NEVER pay top dollar.

Your best bet to to take this to a local field, or craigslist and sell it all for $150, assuming it shoots. You can part it out, but the price of shipping each item will eat into your total amount of money. You'll also be left with some things that just won't sell, and you'll have to either throw them away, or sell them for a very low price.

Out of curosity, how did you come buy this paintball stuff, and who appraised it at such a high price? Even brand new, this wouldn't have sold for $700. Perhaps somebody though it was a rare autococker, because it could be mistaken for a freeflow body at first glance.

Have owned/bought/sold/traded hundreds of paintball markers...

The 'Cocker, if tested and tuned, would probably go for $150-$175 with the pictured barrels.

The air tank is probably not worth the cost of shipping. What's the DOT code, original hydrostatic tested 'born' date and most recent (if any) re-certification? These bottles are only good for 15 years total lifespan and require re-testing either 3 or 5 years, depending on classification. For frame of reference, I just sold a ~6 year old 68 4500 Ninja tank (a desirable brand, though it's possible that, depending on generation, they may have mfgr'd the regulator on yours). Mine had a fresh cert (the bottle is good for another 9 years and current test good for almost 5), and got $89 shipped, of which shipping ate about $20.

Frankly, if a pawn shop or any other buyer offered me $250 for the pictured package, I'd run, not walk, to that deal.
