Seconds?

What exactly are seconds? Are they paint that has an odd shape, but are still useable, or is it the runoff of the machine that counts the paintballs (that's what the guy at my proshop said)?

I just shot some "seconds." They were white and cost $3 for 100. They shot like ***t. They fit the bore of my barrel pretty well, but they were brittle, had a VERY thin fill, and 9/10 that I shot broke in mid-air.........

Thumbs down

Seconds are paintballs that don't make the first quality control inspection, but qualify as still being 'sellable'. So basically, it's the D student of the paint world. Our proshop used to sell something called "Bubblegum". It was a mixture of all of the seconds of paint that they supplied. We tried it out because it was so cheap... Big mistake. The first thing that came to my mind when I unloaded my gun was a vision of bats flying out of a cave. You could never tell where the next one was going to go, because all the paint had different diameters. Some went up, some went down, some went down then up, some went right to left, and vise versa. There were even a few that made a peculiar corkscrew motion. But none of them went straight.

You'd be better off buying walmart paint than seconds imo.

not good at all for shooting peopel with, however they are a cheap way to pratice with your marker at your house. there's no need ofr accuracy when your'e working on your speed.

The problem is with the different diameters if your shooting fast your more likely to chop...
