Barrel Kit Question

Im very new to paintball and I have a question about barrel kits.

I read the Barrel Kit 101 but it's not actually a 101 (or introduction) at all. Its just a review.

So with that being said, can anyone please tell me everything about buying a barrel kit. Can I buy just a kit? or do I need to buy a new barrel too.

I own a Spyder MR1 and I shoot the stock barrel.

thank you,

You can just get a barrel kit. Depending on the kit, it will include multiple backs or inserts, and at least 1, possibly multiple fronts for different lengths. Just make sure to get one that is Spyder threaded.

Yeah, but the insert kit isn't a barrel kit, it's inserts only. If you buy something that is specifically described as a BARREL KIT, you will get a barrel with it.
