dont' get anything past 16 inches. even that is pushing it, considering how long tippmans are.

no such thing as a sniper barrel. however, i'd suggest a J&J ceramics barre as theyre' cheap good quality barrels.

Cant say based on experience but did hell of a lot of reading on it over the past couple months and believe the guys are right. When you ask for a sniper barrel I expect you want accuracy and quietness. Seen a number of credible tests done over the years which show that there isn't a hell of a lot of difference between barrels and the length doesn't make any positive difference. Just gets worse the longer it get as you have to turn up the air to get the ball out of the barrel at the required fps.

Accuracy wise your best bet would be to go for an insert kit in order to achieve a good paint to barrel fit. That will give you as good accuracy as your marker consistency is capable of. Freak kit or Python kit or similar.

Quietness wise I have no idea which is better but somebody should be able to advise on a quiet tip to screw onto the insert kit you get. All I can say is that I think porting is the key.

for the money, J&J ceramic, if you want better be ready to dump a lot more on a barrel kit

i enjoy the range of my freak but i have nothing against most other kits out there, they all accomplish the same thing in a slightly different way (i found the lightest one out there with everything i wanted in a kit and dumped the money for it, it works great for me....well actually i havnt heard of a single person say something bad about it yet)

A J&J or Lapco barrel and then splurge on paint the quality of paint matters more than the barrel I'd rather shoot an $80 case of paint through a $25 barrel than a $25 case of paint through an $80 barrel.
