what to do with scratched barrel?

i have a new fresh from packaging j&j 14 in. barrel that has a few scratches on the inside.

longest one looks like its 1.5 inches long and the rest are smaller and they all are near the tip. all scratches look real thin as if someone took a nail and dragged it.

i have no idea how they got there as i take good care of my things putting them back in packing material, placing them down gently, never hitting them on anything etc. i most definitely didn't put anything inside the barrel. i haven't even fired my marker with this barrel on i.e no dry fire or any paintball shot through.

are the scratches going to be a problem when i shoot a ball through the barrel? i'm thinking yes
anyway i can fix this?
can i call j&j and ask for a replacement? or am i stuck with a jacked up barrel.

car touch up paint. expensive, but if its a gloss barrel, it should match right around perfect.
if you received your barrel that way, i would DEFINITELY ask for a replacement, with proof of purchase, place of purchase, etc...

It's scratched on the inside

I'd kinda run on them to make sure that they're not just marks on the inside of the barrel
If they really are scratches, ask for a replacement or for some money back

Not AZN level price, there's not too many electro markers priced at the same level as the Talon.

what would you suggest to "run" on them? i already tried that with my finger but its to fat and didn't try anything else for fear of scratching the barrel more.

thanks for the help.

p.s. and car touch up paint is expensive only from the dealers. last i checked it was around 5 bucks or less at autozone and 13 or 18 bucks at the nissan dealer. not sure about the quality difference since i haven't tried either one.

Maybe a wet paper towel on a sitck or something?

I would never paint the inside of a barrel, ever

it just dawned on me while watching a movie. toothpicks! they don't scratch but are stiff enough to help feel the bumps.

update: called actionvillage.com and explained to the situation. they said if it was within the 30 day return period that i could get a free exchange from them but i can't since that already past. they politely directed me to call J&J directly and gave me their number. called J&J and explained my situation to them. J&J said to send it in and they'll look at it. 2 weeks later i have a free replacement barrel from J&J. they even gave me the 12" i asked for, i sent in a 14". excellent customer service from both businesses and a happy ending.

lesson learned: inspect new merchandise immediately so its easier to fix any potential problems.
