All paintball markers shoot at the same speed, up to 300 fps max
All paintballs weigh the same amount

THUS!

All paintball markers shoot the same distance (for all intents and purposes)

A barrel with heavy porting will be quiet
And accuracy is more dependent on the quality of the paintballs you are shooting

With all that said, I'd look into the J&J Ceramic Barrel

My favorite barrel brand of all time
They're fantastic

Not AZN level price, there's not too many electro markers priced at the same level as the Talon.

longer tips do nothing for range and accuracy.

Not true! My friend has a 50" sniper barrel on his A5 and he can hit a Coke can from like 300' away.

NO HE ISN'T!!!

He also once played paintball in the library and his gun is so quiet that nobody even knew he was there but he totally ran through historical non-fiction and grabbed the flag from the reference section.

It can. There is a point where the gas behind the ball stops expanding and the extra length begins to cause drag on the ball. That means it then requires more air to push the ball to the desired velocity hurting efficiency. Really it is debatable how important that extra handful of shots is per fill so just use whatever length of barrel you find comfortable or fun to use.
