Oiling barrels...

Just got a 14in J&J barrel for my 98, and i was wondering if i should put any kind of oil or something on it? It sounds like a stupid question, but i am new-ish at owning guns and i was just wondering. better to be safe rather than sorry

No. You don't need to oil the barrel, ever.

No need. That o-ring's only there to keep the barrel from working itself loose from the vibration of the gun firing.
