i'm not entirely sure how you would answer that. you'd want to shoot as fast as you're allowed to maximize breaks, lowering velocity a) lowers range, b) lowers breaking power

if your'e shooting over 300 feet per second, you're doing it wrong.

As close to 300 (or whatever your field limit is) as you can get without going over.

The J&J barrel can't shoot over 240fps. If you want to shoot any higher you have to buy a more expensive barrel because they come stock with more FPS.

Seriously though -- between 275-300 fps will give you the best performance regardless of barrel.
