Quality of the shell I would say, walmart paint is like shooting marbles, nice paint breaks from gravity.

I feel like the entire paint industry has a scheme where high quality and low quality paint have almost no difference in cost to make, but they charge the heck out of us for it to make a fortune.

walmart paint sits for who knows how long in the back, and is not handled well. this leads to dimpled paint and less than desirable quality. there's some decent brands there, but the chances of getting it before it goes bad are low.

Fields go through paint quickly and always have fresh paint available and it's usually a better quality to even start with.

I've always heard walmarts paint is harder and doesn't bust as often.

If you go to sports authority, they leave the shipping labels on the boxes so you can tell how old they are.
