Deadly Winds Fibur or J&J Ceramic

Proto Rail stock barrel is kinda loud and I'm wanting a 14 inch barrel. I've narrowed it down to these two companies which are both accessable for me here in Canada.

Which do you suggest?

Weight is not much of an issue, more interested in the sound. I know carbon fiber is lightweight so the Fibur is probably a pretty light barrel compared to the aluminum / ceramic.

It is much lighter. But I still prefer the J&J myself. I've been using their barrels for 15 years now and have yet to shoot something that would convince me to switch.

For the price, J & J all the way. Great barrel at a great price. I'm not a big fan of the CF barrels though, I always feel like I'm going to take a dive and snap it in half.

Yeah, I've got several CF barrels, had several others I've gotten rid of, never had an issue with them not being able to take a bit of abuse.

i think this really comes down to one question

Do you want to spend $35 or $150 on a barrel?

answer that and you will have your barrel choice

I was looking at the price as well and I was leaning towards the J&J

Not really that simple. It's more like: do you want one barrel or a kit?

True story. It also depends on your budget, and what you plan on doing...

well he could get the J&J kit or the DW null, in which case both can be found around $100 and would still be in the same place
