It will really depend on what marker you are shooting and what type of fied you will be playing. If you are using something like a 98C in the woods a really brittle paint is going to either break in your marker or not be able to shoot through the brush and cover. If you are playing with some fancy electro on an airball field though a brittle paint is exactly what you would want.

I would try the RPS premium, I have shot it in the past and its a good middle ground. not too brittle but not too strong either. Premium also depends on where you live. Some of the stuff I have shot has been fairly strong while others have reported it being fairly brittle. I would give it a shot and see what it is like for you

I would stay away from the evil tournament paint, while personally I think it is the best paint I have ever shot it is very brittle and you may have problems with it running a spyder

if the premium doesnt work for you or you want to save some money, the valken infinity and the empire heat are decent options out of the lower priced stuff

<3 redemption as tourney paint, but infinity is pretty consistent. premium is a good mid grade paint.

Premium is my favorite paint below tournament level, with Forumula 13 being close as well. If I'm getting cheap paint, I'll go to Dick's and pick up Nightmare if it's moderately fresh. Usually about as good consistency as Infinity/hotbox/spectrum, but may actually break on something from beyond 10 feet, unlike infinity/hotbox/spectrum, and cheap.

But if you need basic low-grade paint, infinity/hotbox/spectrum are essentially all identical paint from different manufacturers. All flies fairly straight, all doesn't break well past short range unless you hit a very hard surface, all about the same price. Great for messing around, or rentals, but don't count on it to get eliminations.
