Paint and Barrel bore sizes: Read First

Hopefully, this will get stickied, and we will avoid all of the, "what is the bore size of ________ paint/barrel?", questions.

Before you ask what the bore size is of your paint/barrel look for the paint/barrel on the following charts.

Paintball bore sizes: http://www.ottersccustoms.com/paintc.html

Barrel bore sizes: http://www.ottersccustoms.com/barrelc.html

if i have rps/pmi bigballs would an impulse stock barrel be compatible with them. And why does the bore say 688-690. shouldnt it fit a spyder barrel thats 690, but it doesnt its too small.

Not every batch is exactly the same so the balls that you have may be slightly bigger then .690

As close as possible to a perfect match without going over with the paintball.

Do they have a really thick, and hard shell I'm guessing.

The problem with the paintball being too big is that it rubs up against the the inside of the barrel, and creates alot of friction, which makes it easier for the paintball to break in the barrel.

Companies put .68 sizes on all their paint. Remember .68 is anywhere from .680 - .689.

Those sizes are wrong.. Depends a lot on the paint batch.. The humidity in your area and other unknown factors. In Spokane paint runs smaller.. No idea why.
