Wow... from today's standpoint, it's hard to believe that Brass Eagle would consider one of their guns the finest and most technically-advanced guns available.

Well it was...

BE sold the patent to wdp or something along those lines.

Point is, BE made the first ever angel, wdp stepped in and made them top notch.

Looks like BE selling that patent was a huge mistake on their part. Especially since Angels are one of the best markers out there and BE's markers are the worst.

Just a bit off, WDP did infact devolop the angel. However, although they had a market base in europe, they were virtually unheard of in the states. They signed an agreement with BE for BE to act as distributor of the first angels. The initial sales were impressive, but the gun itself was flawed with things like the very strange vert feed system (why they took so long to fogure out nobody wanted to deal with th epalstic bit, i don't know) and the propriatary asa/reg combo. The deal with BE lasted only a short time, then WDP took over marketing on its own. rumor had it it was because BE had used the angel as the blueprint for much of the rainmaker design, but no offical details were of course ever given. At the time, although it cost more then the pneuventures/smart parts shocker, it was a lot more popular with the people who could afford it and really was a big reason why HPA and vert feed took off.

the first couple that showed up at our field, they took the trigger springs out and the vibration was enough to full auto them. of course, doing that accuracy wasn't exactly the best.

Whats cool is if you look at the body you can see that they've still kept the same basic design lines after all these years.

B.E. bought the Rainmaker design from this one guy(forgot name). The RM design is a updated version of the Vector.

WDP made them one of the best markers around, u never know what might have happened if BE kept them....they may have ended up being for woodsball

B.E. just distributed Angels. They did not copy the design. Relax.
