2010 rail eye problem...HELP

So i just recently bought my 2010 rail, and after randomly getting the blinking green lights, I started messing with the ribbin on the board. If i put pressure on it with it being bent at about 90 degrees in the slot, it would turn red which is what i wanted to see. Eventually after messing with it for a while, I couldnt get the red light to come up, and i noticed the ribbon was bent too much barely above the end of it. I'm guessing that means i have to buy new eyes? are ribbons recommended as opposed to wire eyes? wires seems more durable and less of a pain but dont mind getting another ribbon. Does this problem have anything to do with why my gun has such a low rof with the eyes on? Also, will any dm/slg virtue eyes work on the stock board?

Another questions. Is there a reason when i change the rate of fire, the max it will blink is 35 times? i tried capping it at like 33bps which is 45 trigger pulls but i go to change again and the light only blinks 35 times. I think it works but that may just be the highest amount it will blink? idk. Any info will help. Thanks.

if you have a molex connector plug, you can use wired eyes; they are more durable, but some boards do not accept them. you can check out ansgear.com and pick them up, they're on sale right now.

if you need ribbon eyes, check out this link.

are you sure that each trigger pull= 1 bps? I'm pretty sure most boards don't work that way, make sure you are doing it correctly.
