Dm4

I'm getting a DM4 in a couple days and I was wondering if there is anything to know before I start playing with it? Any tips or adjustments that are needed out of the box.

not nessisary but i would take the bolt out and lube it. The dye lube they give you (if your getting is new) sucks. Try to get Slickhoney or Maxtrix muck.vCheck all the orings to make sure they are all intact. Usally dm4s will work out of the box.

i've yet to hear of a DM4 that didn't work out of the box... like bry3ekn0x said, you'll probably want to lube the bolt... but thats about it...

take it apart, take off all the dye lube it blows and they put wayyyy too much. you'll want to take the lpr and hpr and bolt at least and clean out the dye lube and replace it with slick honey

You'd be surprised hgow many i've seen

**Read the manual IN FULL before even attaching the macroline**

The thing is First thing you want to do is Pull that bolt assembly out and lube it w/ the lube that dye supplies. The reason for this is b/c it's easily accessable and i've know ppl to use "supsititues". Trust me, it's fine, i know how its made

Next, Gas it up and make sure there are no leaks, and shoot some paint through it, don't worry about messing w/ the setting right now

Once you've made sure it shoots and everything, Read the manual again, and then personalize your settings

Are Dm4's very complicated to take apart? Also does the manual have a diagram of the internals or should you download one online somewhere?

Dude the DM4 is about the easyest gun to tear down that I have ever seen. The top silver thing on the back 1.5 turns then the whole bolt assembly pulls out then it comes apart into 4 pices. Two side covers for the eyes and detents. other than that its the same as all other markers. You can go to www.thematrixcenter.com and down load the manual. hope this helps
