Lightbulb VL Evlution...seems a lil fishy.

Howdy. Since insurance is giving me money to replace my old hopper, I think i'm gonna go with an Evlution II. I used to have an Empire Reloader (original...not II or B), and it was good but too loud. I've been considering the Egg, but it looks kinda fishy. I mean, just look at the neck...how is it supported? I bet if pro's use it it can't be bad. What are the good qualities, like noise level, etc.? It just seems like the neck is in a bad spot, but otherwise looks pretty good.

The neck's are always breaking and/or splitting. I would recommend findind a used Halo B on the Nation for like $80. Well worth what you pay for it.

They have all got it. They are very prone to breaking so it is better to look for a used Halo as remix suggested.

well I haven't had any problems with my egg, maybe I just got lucky or something but the neck seems strong enough to support the rest of the hopper. as far as noise their not too loud, but they do make some noise. ther's no doubt about it the HALO is a better loader. but the egg isn't nearly as bad or weak as these people are saying.

mine doesn't have duct tape holding it together........just holding the battery door closed because it tends to pop open.

Dont get an egg...they aren't as fast as VL says they are, they look kinda fugly IMO, they break a lot, and are noisy. As said before, get a Halo B or Reloader B.

i have never had a prob with my egg one player on my team had a prob with his batt door always popping open and another guy actually snapped his lid in half one game so i guess its really hit or miss we have all uprgraded to halos now and they seem to be way better but i still think the egg looks cooler haha

I used my egg for a year and a half along with 4 friends. Nothing ever happened except my battery door decided to break on me... So I had to pay 4 bucks for a new one.

I like my egg but I think Im gonna get a haloB for my impy and just run my egg on my tippy. Battery doors broke and taped shut and the screws got stripped in a couple of holes on my egg but its still running strong.

so its lighter, but doesnt it seem like it doesnt distribute the weight well on ur marker? i dunno....kinda a big decision for me b/c it's all about cost. I just watched some egg videos, and i dont think i need anything faster than that, but its the question about weight and distribution.

I've owned two eggs, both feednecks worked fine even when cut down, and I've never seen any other eggy feednecks break... the real problem is the battery door and the lid, they both break wicked easy... and I mean, like, if you sneeze too hard or something.

Eggs are great. If you didn't notice paintballremix all the people that actually own (except one I beleive) eggs love them. Everyone said the only problems they really had were battery door probs. So listen to the players who use them, not the jealous haters

Now, In my experience...I have had my eggy for quite awhile now, and it has been beat on, not by me of course but by paintballs hitting it and such. I as of yet have not had to replace anything on it (excpet batteries, I've had to change batteries twice in 5 months). I installed a z-board in my egg and it's quite fast. I thought the same thing as you did when I bought it..."Doesn't all that weight cause the neck to become weak and break?" I as of yet have not had any problems. The neck plastic is 1/8 inch thick. They are VERY quiet, quieter than my friend's Halo B. By having the neck placed up front the weight of the paintballs is shifted back which makes elevating your gun up easier so you can get the extra little bit of slant on your aim for downfield gunning and longer range shots. That is one of its best features IMO. There are replacement shells, lids, battery doors, etc. availible for the eggs, if you can't find them at your localshop you can get them directly from VL, w/ your purchase of an egg a list of prices on the replacement parts is even included. Eggs are great man, Z-board it and you'll have yourself a real peice of working beauty.

People like you ^^^ mislead others. "eggs are for breakfast"?? You gave not one real bit of information on why this guy should buy a halo or egg. You gave critiszm (lol, cant spell it), and it wasnt constructive. I'm not saying Halo's are bad, I think they're awesome, and with all their cool boards can be made super fast, but an eggy is the next best thing, pry as fast as many people can get and sturdy (in my experience).

Some egg with zboards have been tested to go as fast as 18-19 BPS. The average paintballer shoot around 16. If youre above average and can shoot super fast like many other people claim to do....get a halo. If youre an average paintballer like me and cant quite get up 18...get the egg
