Halo would be a good idea.

Make sure the area where the eyes are is free of paint and debris. Try using better quality paint. Or brighter paint. The eyes may be having trouble seeing the paint if the shell is too dark.

what kind of paint?... i used zap spank and it jammed on me a few times... had 2 balls try and "squeeze" into the feed tube hole... went to a decent rec/mid grade paint and haven't had an issue...

ended up shooting the rest of the zap spank with a gravity feed on my e-orracle... i think an agitating hopper would do fine w/ the crap paint though lol.

and reading that you are in FL... i'm going to say it's very likely your paint... heat+humidity+cheap paint sucks

Never had these problems with my egg before and I have used all kinds of paint in it ranging from Wild streak all the way to PMI Evils.

wild streak wasn't a problem for me either... just the VERY mushy/soft paint

you need make "needle mod" - to insert sewing needle in the each of 6 fin of impeller to make it stronser - it will less flexible - it helps!

This happened to my son last weekend...ball got jammed between an impeller arm and the back side of the feedneck opening. Turns out he was leaving his opened bag of cheap balls on the ground. Although is was in the shade, it was still hot (85*) and humid (85%). The humidity made the balls softer and were getting pushed out of shape by the impeller. Key is to keep your balls in a cooler and less humid area, or at least close the bag and try to get as much air out as possible!

that doesn't work with zap spank... even leaving it in the cooler did nothing for it... it's still VERY soft even when the bag hadn't been opened... and that was right after pulling it from the cooler :-/... that being said... the spank has AWESOME fill... i shot about 100 balls in my back yard over 2 weeks ago... even after a few fairly bad thunder/rain storms the fill is still there... it's still even a little slimy/gooy.

Try one of the propeller mods. I cut off all the blades leaving two on either side, and put pins in them to make them stiffer. Works pretty good IMO.

what happened to me was when i took apart all the internals,i put the motor plug in backwards thus making the paddels going in reverse. when you look throught the lid, make sure that the blades are spinning counterclockwise. and cut all the blades except 2 and put needles in them. works pretty good like drktamer said. i got 20 bps with that mod and z board.

not specificly zap... just zap spank... there are a few other brands that are just as bad...

this last weekend the my feild was trying to get rid of some revolt (lower end then even spank... not by much though) he was giving it away... due to swelling he had a good 2 or 3 of the rentals brake paint every game (think it was about 8 rentals)... if i had a spyder clone i'd have prob taken some (it was free) but not a chance w/ my egg jamming up on crap paint.

i did roll a few in my fingers... i was able to squeeze the paint with my fingertips to the point of touching with out the paint braking...

the wal-mart $33 plastic bucket of zap is better then spank or revolt.
