Hopper Question (obviously)

Ok, I'm gettin' an Ion in about a week and was wondering if I need to get a new hopper. I already have a halo TSA, but I'm not sure if it will be up to par. Price is a big factor so list how much each hopper costs please.

You should be fine with your current hopper.

New Halo's are 105, New Reloader B's are 140, I think the VLocity's are around 130.

Go for the Halo B or Empire Reloader B. Then if you plan on upgrading later you'll still have a great hopper. Also a Halo or Empire will be able to keep up with your gun better.

Look for a used Halo if you don't think your TSA will do the job.

The TSA will do OK, but it can never hurt to have a better hopper. When you get the money go ahead and go with a halo b or reloader b.

Is there a difference between the two?

Big difference. Halo B is a force feed loader which makes for much higher feed rates. Halo TSA is an agitating loader, and isn't too fast.

If you are asking about between the halo b and the reloader b, then there is a difference. The halo uses an eye too see when it needs to feed more paint, and the reloader goes by the sound/vibration of the the gun. I haven't really found one to be a ton better than the other, so it's really personal preference which one you get.

One more thing, I believe that the stock Reloader B board feeds 2-3 BPS faster than the Z-code bull**** that comes stock in Halo B's now. This is probably based on a paint drop test, so take into consideration the fact that the figure translates into a very minimal margin.

Eggs are usually garbage. The feedneck breaks on half of them, and they dont feed as fast as halos or empires. They are cheaper new, but you can get a good used halo for cheaper than a new egg, and you would be much better off.
