Apache's

I just bought one today and i got to wondering why no one ever recommends them or talks about them.

I personally think they look hot and operate easily enough.

Pretty much.

Most of the electronic richochets can't feed the speed they are advertised to feed. They are all agitating hoppers...meaning no matter what, they won't feed more than 13bps.

I personally think they look stupid. They say it's designed for bounces...ha...yea ok. That design failed miserably if it was for bounces. You would be lucky to get any bounces off any hopper.

that right there drives alot of the more serious ballers away.

Nothing wrong with the apache, it feeds faster then a egg (though that is not hard ) But halos are better and not much more (well when the apache came out they weren't)

Cant they be sue for false advertisement if it goes under what their box says?

ANd leave halos out of this...Halos are twice as much as Apaches.

So bassicly...I can conclude this.

Its not a halo so no one wants it?

No. It's just that Halos and Reloader B's are just better quality hoppers, so more serious ballers buy them. You don't see many people with Richochets because they all probably have Halo and Reloader B's, eggs (some), Vlocities, and some still even use the good ol Revvy.

For the advertised feed rate, they probably go buy drop tests with the factors that could change the outcome of the test well in their favor. I mean, VL said eggs can feed 19bps...VERY off. I don't get how they came up with that number...but they did.

But you can get a used Halo B for 60-70 bucks. I have seen some (cracked shells mainly) for for 50 or less.

Apaches aren't bad...it's just that most serious ballers want the best or close to it. That's why you will see more Halo B's and Reloader B's than any other hopper (well, you will start to see more and more Vlocities as time rolls on).

as said they are just not as popular.

And fenix i dunno where they got that feedrate for eggs. But everytime you diss on a egg some egg fanboys come in and won't shut up about how it really does feed that fast for them. Funny how nobody else has gotten them to go so fast.

lol...no kidding. On pbn, I said one comment about eggs being slow...I got 10 PMs for people saying "my egg feeds fast, you don't know what you are talking about"...idiots. I had my egg for a year and have used a couple others...same thing. Oh well...their falt for thinking their hopper is the shiz when it's not.

But yea, you see more eggs mainly because they are just more popular. Not many people buy Richochets. Also, you see pros using eggs more than richochets just because VL has more money to spend on sponsoring teams. But now all those pro teams sponsored by VL will be using Vlocities.

That's what they go for on Action Village, so yea. It's an alright hopper. It will do you fine for the marker that you have. When/if you decide to get a better marker, then you might want to consider a Halo B, Reloader B, or Vlocity, but I wouldn't worry about that now.

For $50 dollars you did fine. Got a nice agitating hopper. Very comparable and maybe better than a Halo TSA. Definetly better than a Revy or Reloader. I've seen one Richochet at the field I play at. It's a AK or 2K, used by one of the best players that play there.

Wierd question....

Can the human finger even move 20 times per second, since all tournis dont allow full auto. Or even 10 tiems per second.

Some can. The fastest I have ever shot was 19. Only got there once and it was the fastest I have every shot (obviously). Usually my peak is 17.

What tournaments are you talking about though. 10bps??? That's really slow. Tournaments that go by NPPL style rules have true semi auto un-capped. Tournaments that go by PSP/NXL style rules are ramping (psp)/full auto (nxl) capped at 15bps.

Wasnt saying there were 10 bps tournis.

Just more of the fact i cant see my fingers going that fast unless it has that special trigger that fire and the pull and release (forgot the name)

Do you walk the trigger? It's very easy to get to 10 bps walking the trigger. At least it is for some. One of my friends could shoot much faster with one finger than he could walking the trigger. You might not be able to walk the trigger on your gun...especially if the trigger return spring is still in there. One of my friends used to have the same gun as you, and even after taking the spring out it was hard to walk the trigger because of how hard the micro-switch was.

Walking the trigger is using two fingers alternating right?

just to throw this out there, an apaches drop test speed is only about 16 bps. really its not that bad of a hopper. just ugly. its hardly any bigger than a halo other than a little overall length, but thats just because it narrows out in the front to do the whole taking bounces thingg.it also holds more balls and is much lighter. and believe it or not, i have had a few balls hit it and not break. not necessarily because of the design, might have just been bad balls. but it has happened.

i have an old ricochet 2k laying around, i think i might make a vid of some hopper shots on it just to test it out.

I have no idea how reliable apaches are, but you could have gotten a used egg which can feed a consistent 15+ for about $25, or a used halo for around $60. (all plus shipping).
