welcome to the world of Viewloader quality control. Their shells are complete crap. I have a revvy that gets chipped and beaten up just from being in my gearbag, and i've broken my stupid lid 2x. I hate their shells.

Just put ducktape on it. My friends broke in a game and just totally fell in half, ducktape fixed it

That is a defect. I would send it back or take it back for that manner and get a new one. As for quality on these Vlocitys, I have been using the hopper alot and being a snake player nothing has happened yet suprisingly.
