new mini owner

Just bought a new mini. Standard black one, with jr loader and a steel tank(soon to be upgraded).

I must say it shoots very straight and shoots fast, for me anyways. I look forward to using it in some speed ball play and woodsball. It is a huge upgrade from my days with the automag.

Only real question I have is on the loader. How long will the 2 nine volts last(based on your experience).

Also I noticed about 1k rounds from my tank, is that about average?

Again solid gun so far and well worth the 350 in my opinion.

Yes, on a steel tank 1000 shots is very good. I suggest reading the sticky about how to break in your spring properly to reduce kick and get the o-rings and reg to set in. And yes, a nice carbon fiber tank will be a very nice upgrade.

Vlocity Jrs are great hoppers. For me, i beleive i got about 3 cases with each set of batterys.

batterys on velociys arent the best, but you should get 3-5 days of play time.
if you get a new chip, you can save on batteries.

Yes, but i would take worse battery life for the most consistent, lightest, reliable, and profile that the velocity has.

You both bring up very good points, but i think my first upgrade will be a freak barrel kit,

The springs are broke in already but here is the 10 million dollar question.

What should i lube, when, and how lol

before getting a freak kit i would like you to look at one other barrel. The Deadly wind Carbon fibur barrel is a super light carbon fibur barrel that takes freak inserts and its only 1 piece. Go check it out.
