does this switch in the pic require sodering?

if you're going to replace the switch on your spyder, i would recommend using solder. you could use just tape, but solder will hold better

no, it appears the leads are already soldered onto the switch.

im more than positive that you would need to solder it to the board.

i dont see why you would need to solder it to the board. couldnt he just cut the wires on that switch, cut the wires on the wire that comes from the board, and solder them together? (maybe thats what u meant)
