nope, it will work fine. The detents are strong enough for a halo.

smart move getting a halo, saves money in the long run.

ill have to try my halo on my spyder, but wouldnt it double feed and chop cus it forces the balls down there. I suppose it wouldnt I just herd from a friend that when he put his halo on his old spyder it was a blender.

mine double feeds when i first load it because the first few paintballs have so much momentum going through the drive system and feedneck they go past my detents. after that, double feeding is rare and chopping is FINALLY a thing of the past.

i guess if i left the gun uncocked when i load it, the paintballs couldnt get past the detents when i load it the very first time... something to look into...

I Think If Ur Hopper Is As Much As Ur Gun U Dont Need It A Spyder Doesnt Need A Halo At All. But If Your Getting Into Paintball And U Can Get A Good Deal On It Buy It. Maybe When U Get Better U Will Get A Better Gun And U Will Already Have A Great Hopper

if you got probs with double feed...a victiry board might help (it gives you adjustable feed rates)

A halo is the first thing I suggest any serious paintballer buy (after the basics) as it will help in the long run and as long as the gun has strong enough detents, it will keep up with anything, if not there is a victory for it, which makes it insane kind of fast. Buy one....make sure its the color you want....and keep it...forever.
