Is a venturi worthless?

i think thats how u spell it... im not sure if its only spyders that use it but i wanna know if taking out my venturi will help my bolts performance. cause i found it at otter sc customs and decided id ask u guys and make sure it was a good thing to do.

They are pretty much useless.. the theory behind them was that the venturi spread teh air out around the ball to a) give it more even force (???) or b) diffuse the energy form the air blast over more of the ball to prevent breaks.

In actuality it does neither of them to a degree that it makes any difference.

Taking the venturi out of the bolt will allow you to have more air flow through the bolt -- you can pick up a few FPS out of the bolt that way.

less weight in the bolt, and possibly a few fps higher, but thats about it, its a good thing to do for a free mod

if you got the money, yes it's better to buy a new bolt. And I'm sure it made some difference, probally allowed you to use less air and you just didn't notice it.
