Exclamation Pilot is "skipping shots"

Ok, I've always used spyders and I've never had a problem I couldn't fix at the field and then keep going. At the field two weeks ago though I was playing with my Pilot ACS, and during one of the last games it just started skipping shots. I would be pulling the trigger at about 7-9 balls a second and it would only fire like three times out of those seven pulls. I could ony come up with two possible reasons. 1- The backslack was set too tight and the trigger wasn't coming all the way off the microswitch before I pulled it again. 2- The battery was low. So I adjusted the backslak until it was as loose as possible for the next game and it still skipped. Also the battery had charged for like 14 hours the night before, and is supposed to last up to 12,000 shots on semi. I wasn't screwing around with auto or burst or anything and I didn't leave it on in between games, so I couldn't have killed the battery. Any help would be great, as I am playing all day tomorrow and I don't want to have to switch to my backup again. Thanks.

Which shot fired? The first, a middle one, or the last? That would help. Sounds like a board, trigger, or spring problem. Also, does it only happen when you shoot fast?

is it possible there was just a little bit of paint in ur hopper or feed tube that could slow down the feed rate

you might have a loose wire in your board, or , the mmost liekely reason, your battery was low, which im guessong is teh case, so try charging your gun and push in any loose wires

mooseman- the balls would not slow down anything, the bolt would cycle right through them if they were feeding slow

It still cycled, so it wasn't feeder related (no eyes on the marker). I don't think its a wiring problem because it was like- fire fire fire nofire nofire fire nofire fire fire. It only happened when I shot fast so that pretty much gurantees it was the battery. I just can't figure out how I drained it. Basically I was just hoping to hear anything I might have overlooked somehow, but everybody is thinking along the same lines I was so hopefully with a fully charged battery tommorow it will be fine. Thanks.

Hmm, maybe double firing. It sounds like skipping shots but it feeds twice insted.

ok....if by skipping shots you mean that "the gun is cycling but a ball is not coming out of it" then that is fine because that just means that your acs bolt is treating you well.

if by skipping shots you mean that "im pulling the trigger and nothing is happening" then you have a slightly bigger problem.
1. your battery might be dead for some odd reason even though you charged it
2. your solenoid is broken which is not giving your gun enough power to trip the sear while shooting fast(most likely)
3. the little silver piece that trips the sear is broken (to check this take off your grips and take your finger and pull back the little silver circular piece closest to the back of your gun and see if it is connected to the other side of the silver thing where a pin hits the sear. If it is not then that means that it snapped and you need to buy a new one)

edit: umm.......yea.....one is the capicator and the other one is the soilnoid but i cant remember which one right now so........
