Should I put a reg. on my MR-1

I shoot hpa through my mr-1, think it would be worth it to take off the gas through foregrip and put a reg? It would definately drop some of the weight on that beast I know that for sure. That gas through foregrip/retarted fake magazine looking thing is one beefy chunk of aluminum...Not that is why I'm wanting the reg. just thought it might help, and would look kinda cool. But then another question is would it hurt the reg if I loaned the gun out to someone using co2?

that depends on the reg. some work fine on co2. like the cocker regs and some not so good. like dye regs

i believe a lot of CP regs are great with CO2 and are affordable

i have one of these. i dont use it anymore but i know its designed to work on CO2

WGP Regulator Inline Adjustable - BLACK MAGIC - Dust Black

If you are already using HPA the consistency improvements would be negligible at best. Factoring in the cost of even a basic reg compared to the cost of the MR1 I really don't see any benefit to make that worthwhile.

unless you get a really nice reg and keep it after you sell the marker.

I guess. It's just that players normally upgrade to a mid range or high end after the blowbacks and those typically come with nice regs already.

Well yeah I mean I've already got something better. Just thought it might improve my woodsball marker a little, (I know I could just carry my rail into the woods when I'm playing but I've took some pretty bad dives/falls in amongst brush and small trees and I really don't want to subject a $300 marker to that kind of punishment. If I got the cash to spare I might do it, just for the fun of it. I don't know.
