Spyder Recocking issues

My spyder has some recocking issues, i went to a game today and it worked fine until the last round, thats when it wouldn't shoot at all even when i turned the eyes off. it would only shoot when i cocked it back manually all the way and held it there for awhile, and then fire one or two shots then I had to redo that process.
I followed the manuals instructions a lubed the o rings and everything, yet it still wont fire. i have taken my air system completely off and disassembled the rear, it looks like that little metal thingy that goes down to release the mechanism when you pull the trigger doesn't go down far enough in order to release it. I may be wrong though.
(sorry about my terminology, i can't remember the part names).
A while back it chopped paint like crazy so i turned my regulator down, now it stopped chopping and stays consistenly at 260fps. it all was fine until that last round of the day...... any ideas how to fix this?
thanks

is the noid clicking when you pull the trigger? my initial reaction is battery. even if the indicator isn't flashing at you, changing the battery may fix that
