Spyder Electra Eye Question

Hi all, first time posting here but ive been doign some reading on here. I just got a spyder electra and took it out today, had issues with the eye to the point i had to turn it off.i tried cleaning with the squeege, that did nothing so i removed the eye cover cleaned the eye still had issues. If i held the trigger while the light was flashing it would shoot a round so i know there was a round in the chamber.

Second question
the hole for the charger in the back of the grip is not lined up and i only see about half the hole is this how it should be or should i contact kingman?

Spyder Electra
HPA 68/45 DXS tank
Empire Too hopper

step one) try a new battery, eye malfunctions are a first sign of a dying battery

if it still charges i wouldnt worry about the charger issue

Ok I did test it again today, it only came with a 9 volt wall charger and the genuine spyder 9.6 battery. The real charger is on it's way and after a few more hours charging it worked well,

One last question and I may sound uber noob but is there a way to turn the safety on without powering the trigger down?

ok, that didnt work, there are 2 buttons, power and mode, press and hold the power button to turn it on and it starts with the red light lit, safe mode. One press of the power button turns the light green and its off safe, after that the buttons dont do more then turn the eye off or turn the marker off.

turning the power off is the safety

as for if you can get it into the safe mode, look in the manual

if you can't change shooting modes, then you need to remove the tourney lock jumper.

Power off is your safety.

To diagnose whether the eyes are dirty or broken, turn off the eye to confirm that your marker fires. Turn the eyes back on to see if you fire with paint in the breech. If they still don't work, check to see if they are plugged in as they may wiggle loose and check for damage in the wire.

The early electra had trouble with 9v batterys sometimes. They have a long solenoid pin that take more energy than needed to trip the sear, this was later fixed as i was led to believe. Make sure to just get 9.6v with PROPER charger and use the 9v as the back up.

As far as the line up with the hole, take the one side of the grip off and using your finger gently push down on the port till it lines up to take a charger. They mass produced by tadao anyway so all kingman might do is send you a new board. Not worth the hassle to wait, just don't force it too much.

08 and newer models do not have a jumper. The shooting modes are only accessible through pressing a combination of buttons.

WITH NO AIR IN THE SYSTEM!!!!!! unscrew the frame a bit and the sear will be far enough away from the frame to release the spring tension if your battery is not powered up or you have a bad board.

There is a safe mode, It boots up in safe, push the power button to fire and the light turns green, and push the power button again and the light turns red to be safe. Hold the power button and it will turn off.
