Spyder TS Sputtering/not recocking

Im sorry but im new and im not positive where this should go... but i just got a Spyder TS from some guy on Craigslist. I trust the guy that he didnt rip me off and its an almost brand new gun. When i got the gun i went out and got a new tank and hopper and when i tried shooting it would make an insanely loud noise and then sputter, and biggest of all not recock. I have researched this and people say "oil your gun, or replace O-ring" well he oiled the whole gun and replaced all o-rings before i got it. I have taken it apart and put it back together and still nothing.... Any help?

Also if this helps here is a video of me shooting it, and it not working.
Link: Paintball.wmv - YouTube
*in the video it doesnt fully show it sputtering, but it does :P

Usually the hammer o-ring.

...your tank could also be low.

you can never "tell" if o rings are good by looking at them, either they seal or they dont and in your case im almost thinking the hammer o-ring is missing by the way it is acting but even if it is still there id replace it

if you take out the pin at the rear of the marker right in front of the blue cap that cap should come off, in the upper tube you have the bolt and the bolt pin that goes through the bolt and connects down to the hammer, the hammer is in the lower tube, after you take out the blue cap, there should be a spring and a lot of times some form of spring guide and in front of that is the hammer.

on the hammer there should be an O-ring towards the front, it is a size 015 and is also interchangeable with "tank o-rings" if your local store or shop carries those

swap that out, lube it with PAINTBALL OIL ONLY and try again

The sear has nothing to do with sputtering or not fully recocking, it's what holds your hammer back
If you were having sear issues, it would continue to shoot after letting go of the trigger

I would have to guess a low tank and/or a bad hammer oring as well

One thing you can try is taking your barrel off, covering the hole where the barrel goes with a towel (press hard to try and create as much of a seal as possible), and try shooting
This will give you some back pressure which will help your marker recock. If it still doesn't do so at this point with a freshly filled tank a new hammer oring, you may have flow problems (highly unlikely)

Not AZN level price, there's not too many electro markers priced at the same level as the Talon.

Also, if you haven't cleaned your marker in a while, it can cause some problems if you have paint residue and dirt all over parts and areas that move or are in contact with moving parts

Check the hammer area of the bottom tube and bolt area of the top tube for paint, broken shells, and debris and also check your hammer and bolt for the same
All that gunk can slow your action enough to cause an FTF scenario

And while you're at it... are you dry firing or shooting with paint?
Sometimes Spyders don't like to be dry fired, and need the back pressure that a paintball gives to cycle correctly

Also check to make sure that the black rubber buffer ring is not in front of your hammer. It should be touching the back plug and the second or third to last thing you put in the bottom tube

Might also want to try screwing in your velocity adjuster to see if that helps. Just be sure to chrono your marker to make sure you aren't shooting hot

After all that and it's still not working, you maybe having flow issues which I highly doubt since Spyder has started doing a whole ton of the home brew mods that people used to do to the older Spyders from the early 2000's and older
