Magna Port Valve opinion on Xtra

Alright, I know how everyone feels about the magna port valves. I've read all the bad reviews. The point is I have one. It doesn't leak, I am having a problem with the gun not recocking. I believe it to be a spring problem because even with the OE valve in (the gun recocks) but barely get 200 fps out of the gun with velocity turned all the way up. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. I am relating it to the fact that the design of the valve doesn't provide as easy a path for the gas to the striker as the OE valve does (the huge milled half to provide flow to bolt, not so good for directing flow to striker). Also, if I am barely getting 200 fps on OE valve and velocity all the way up then I should buy a spring set anyway (not striking with enough force to open valve enough, therefore compounding the problem with Magna Port valve). Anyone have any spring setups that they have had luck with?

After doing my own research here to find out what this "new magna valve" thing I've never heard of is -

For everyone else's information: Its a valve modification that allows a standard STBB to operate on lower input pressure by widening one of the side-port holes on teh valve.

sorry - images didn't want to work.

Now that that's out the way - increasing spring tension against the valve might cause re-cocking issues given the nature of the mechanic and lower operating pressure of the valve. I'd say... you might actually have an internal leak, and to go over your lower tube o-rings with some 55, and replace your striker o-ring. The 55 will swell your valve o-rings and create a better seal around your valve.

If that doesn't work - the other thing I'm seeing is $&*#$ty regulator. If you haven't serviced your HPR/ V-reg, get a manual and some 33 and see about monkeying with/rebuilding that.
