Spyder Fenix

Just got a brand new spyder fenix and it wont fire. It has a full tank of air and a fully charged 9.6v battery. Also fully lubricated. Im not sure whats wrong with it. Any feedback would be much appreciated

You're going ot have to be more clear. "it won't fire" can mean a whole lot of things.

What happens when you pull the trigger?
Have you pulled the bolt back into the cocked position?

Absolutely nothing happens when i pull the trigger. Its as if there is no air tank attached to the marker, and it sounds the same whether the trigger is turned on or off. Yes the bolt is in the cocked position

Try turning off the eyes, and see what happens. I sort of looks like they're reading an open signal, which would indicate to the board that there's no paint in the breach, and that it is not ready to be fired.

after watching the video, turn the marker off, put on a barrel bag, take the air out, and open up the grip. check that the trigger switch is actually being activated.

It sounds like it is trying to do something, I would check the trigger switch like suggested above but assuming that is all good here are a few more things to check

if you have a second battery try that or put a brand new name brand 9v in it and try again, could be that the battery is not supplying enough juice. Hopefully it is not the capacitor on the board, it does happen in spyders, typically not brand new ones but the capacitor on the board can short out. it is possible to replace it if you are good with a soldering iron

take the grip frame off of the body to try these next few things

with frame off, you should be able to slide the hammer and bolt back and forth, make sure they can slide smoothly and are not binding, you do sill have the spring in there so they should want to go forward

also while it is off, and assuming you also took the regulator off, screw your tank in very slowly until it starts putting air though the regulator, this is just to make sure air is getting into the marker, I doubt it is the issue but it is always good to check on the simple things

turn marker on, safety off, eyes off and make sure the solenoid will trip, you should be able to see the sear go down and back up

honestly my money is on something binding or an electrical issue

one last thing to try, keep the grip frame off but screw the regulator back in, put air into the ASA, no paint, assuming no leaks, pull the bolt back and let it go. Assuming it is all working correctly the marker will start dry firing essentially on full auto as there is no sear to stop it. you will have to catch the bolt pin by hand or unscrew the tank to get it to stop (catching the pin is faster) if this works then you can narrow your problem down to something in the grip frame itself as the mechanical side of the marker is working properly

how old is that paint? will it roll out of the barrel on its own?
