lmao. you need a new computer is what you need.

you could check into overclocking it, what type of cpu is it, and what make and model of computer. i'll check and see if you can oc it up to the needed speed.

if not, the chances of you finding an older processor with just th extra oomph would be a bit tough probably.

Odds are your motherboard isn't going to support a much faster processor. The support range on most boards isn't very wide, so even if you did get a new processor and could play Halo, it would probably BARLEY run and not be very fun to play at all. If you could tell us what make and model your motherboard is, we could offer better advice.

SrATEX - my best friend has that case. It's quite nice.

QFT. You may just find it in your best interest to look into a faster computer. You also have to think in the long run. Think of how demanding applications got in the past three years, and how much computers evolved since then. Now think of how demanding theyll be in 2 more years. A 600mhz processor isnt going to cut it for too much longer if you wanna play games and stuff. It wouldnt be too expensive considering the fact that you would only need the tower. Heres what I suggest you use:

-AMD Athalon64 processor at least 1.8ghz
OR
-P4 Processor at least 2.4ghz

-At least 256MB of ram...anything less is probably considered obsolete by most newer games.

-At least a 64MB graphics card. I have an NVidia GeForce 4 and it works great. I can use all high settings with it on BF1942 and Unreal Tournament 2k4 (combined with 768Mb of ram)

Those are the big things that are going to affect your ability to play demanding games. If you wanted somthing like this, youd be looking at around 400-600 depending on the other options you choose.

-Just my two cents.

Oh god man, do some Wire management. I have The same exact case but mines a Chenming 601-ae Blue.

Yea id say get a Athlon xp2600 Mobile and a good overclocking motherboard and oc it about 2.6 ghz. Or if you want to spend some more money go with a Athlon 64 3000+ and oc it or anything in the Athlon 64 939 socket line. I have a Athlon 3500+ and it kicks ass paired with a ASUS A8v mobo, great combo.

Dell uses a Propriety(sp) Motherboard, Case, and powersupply. If you want to change stuff out, your going to need all new stuff. I say just buy a new computer, Or build your own.

Right now though is a hard time to upgrade. You got Pci express stepping through the door and AGP is going away but not for a couple years at most. Duel cores are coming, DDR2 and 3. The computer industry is growing so fast right now its hard to keep up with it.

Hope that helped

yeah i know, i havent yet because my system is water cooled, before it was a closed system and didnt fill it up. burned up the processor and melted part of the mother board.

So now i upgraded the processor, added a resivor to the water coolant system, and when i get home gonna get a larger thermaltake case and a new mother board. think I might upgrade the gig of ram i have to something a little better
