Where does the universe end?

I just was thinking for a while about how ****ing big the universe must be. I mean, where the hell does it end? Never? If it never ends how did the big bang create it, wouldn't that mean it's continuously creating more and more universe? WTF, I don't know. I mean it's gotta end somewhere right? Don't turn this into a religious thread either umkay? Just, damn i dont know where it ends...pissin me off....

scientists think that the universe is still expanding. we learned about it in physical science last year about the stars/galaxies moving away from us have a redish color to them. Stars/galaxies that are coming towards us have a bluish color to them...something like that...and i guess there are more red stars/galaxies than blue

Galaxies ends are finite but the Universes ends are supposedly supposed to be infinite.

Thats caused by the wavelengths given off by objects moving away are longer, which causes what is called red shift. Objects coming towards us give off shorter wave lengths and cause a blue shift.

Kind of like how a motorcycle sounds different when its going away than when its coming towards you

they don't know if it even ends. Some theorize if u go far enough u curve back around on the other side.

Have u seen the interesting theory that might replace big band? It basically says that on the end of the universe is another one (or was it another demension?) less then 1mm away. And this other area bumped ours creating a random spread of energy etc.

Agreed. I hope they figure out a lot more information on this before I die. What if the universe is part of another system?

It is the doppler shift. It is just with light instead of sound.

i personally think the universe is like a 3D mobius strip of some sort. and black holes lead to the outside of nothingness, therefore anything that goes through turn to nothing.

if u dont know waht a mobius strip is then check out a very informational site:

The universe is NOT infinite. Space time is continually expanding, near the speed of light. Scientists have 3 theories of what will happen to the universe. First, the ever expanding universe or 'The Big Chill'. It states that the universe is continually expanding and will eventually reach absolute zero in temperature. Secondly is another big chill theory, where the expansion of the universe is accelerating, getting faster and faster.

Third is the idea of the Big Crunch. This theory believes that there is enough dark matter in the universe to gravitationally pull everything back into one mass, opening up the possibility for an Oscillating Big Bang Theory.

The most believed is the first, because scientists do not believe there is enough dark matter in the universe to have gravity be strong enough to stop expansion of spacetime, and contract it.

Random fact, everything in the universe used to be smaller than one proton.

my theory is that a giant half chicken half squirrel had sex with a purple bunny rabbit, which created the big bang.

my theory is just as good as the theory of relativity YAY

Yeah and stuff somehow punched holes in it to form the black holes, almost like when you are in a space ship, if a hole is punched in the side everything is pulled towards it within a certain area.

if you cant create something from nothing then is their just a little bit of matter compared to the infinate amount of space. Where did that mass come from? haha you cant proove anything to yourself.

Idiot, it doesn't have to come from anywhere, it in itself is the mass.
