New Toy

(not my rifle, but a bunch of Enfields)

I went to the gun shop the other day, and decided it was time for a new rifle. So far I have a M98 Turkish Mauser, Yugo SKS, and an Ithaca 12 gauge shotgun. So it was time for something new, but something old. So I went with something British.

Thatís right, I picked up an Enfield No.4 1*. Though my rifle was Canadian, it was made during WWII in 1943. This was exactly what I was looking for. It has a spring action bolt, which is really cool. These rifles were known for their reliability and accuracy, though I havenít taken it to the range yet. Iíve fired pretty much every caliber used in WWII except for the British .303 which is what the Enfield is chambered in. The only issue I have right now is the forward screw on the trigger assembly, it wont budge! Hard to get the cosmo out of the rifle if you cant separate the metal from the furniture. Argh.. canít get it all for $100 now can you.
