ps2 modchip?

Where can i find a ps2 with a modchip preinstalled I remember, i saw this site where they had preinstalled modchips and you could choose to get a clear case, and different accessories! Or is this discussion not allowed and if you know, which modchip would you rcommend?

I don't know if this discussion is allowed or not, but I do know where you can get a modded PS2 from. Unfortunately, the guy who sold me mine is here in Iraq. So unless you want to sell your soul to the army to save money on PS2 games, I suggest you google it or ask Jeeves.

Oh yeah, no problem. I love my modded PS2 btw. If you are serious about getting one, you should try talking to some techie guys, maybe someone who works at Radio Shack or a computer specialist at Office Max, They are kinda creepy, but they normally know what is what about where you can get things like that.

Well, it depends on what kind you get. There are modchips, older models, made for the large version PS2 that just plug in to the USB port on the front, and then there are the actual chips that have to be installed via soldering iron or some such. These have been known to cause the 2nd player controller port to not work, but mine doesn't do that. It could have been a mistake made during installation, I dunno. A couple of my friends' PS2s are like that. I guess it all depends on who you get the product from.

Also, a really good program for burning games is Nero. It works great, and hardly ever spits out a bad copy. Of course, all I have ever done is make 'archival copies' of the games I have. I would never think to copy ,say, a rented game which I had no intentions of buying.
