Confused.. When I shouldn't be at all.

(6.70 x 10^5)(3.2 x 10^-4)

670,000 x 0.00032

6 sig figs----2 sig figs

So the answer needs 2 sig figs, but it comes out to 214.4, so I figured round to 210.. but that's still 3. WTF?

Need quick help.
One number is eight less than twice another. Their sum is 100. What are the numbers? Thanks.

Also, Find three consecutive odd integers such that 4 less than twice the second has the same value as three times the number that is one more than the third.

Never underline in a paper.

I would guess italicize, though. =/ Movies are italicized, articles and books are in quotes.

Well, that's Canadia.

Now that I think about it, books were italicized as well.

Solve for X:

a) e^(-3x)=e

b) (x^2)/2=e^2

Anyone?

-edit- I'm getting x=-1/3 for a, and x= (√2)(e) for b, but that seems too simple...? Meh.

a) take ln of both sides so
ln(e^-3x)=ln(e)
-3x=1
x=-1/3

b) It's simple. Just solve for x. e^2 is a number, so treat it as one.

It may be +/- because the sq rt of 2 can be positive or negative.

Need a little help, on pythagorem theorem.

/_l

That is a triangle, you get the pictures. I know the angle between the slash and the horizontal line, and the measures of the horizontal line and the lower case l, but need to know how to find the measure of the slash through all that.

ASAP help is apreciated.

What's the measure of that angle...? The measure of the top angle would be 90 - the angle you know.

You know your angle, and it's adjacent length, and you want the hypotenuse. So you want

Cos(yourangle) = (adjacentlength)/ X which is the length you want to find.

So

(adjacentlength)/cos(yourangle) = The answer.

It's 1:19 am, I'm sure you're already sleeping.

And I'm not even sure if this is right because it's a right triangle.

Nope, actually I'm still doing my paper. I googled the answer.

Turns out, what I was looking for was:

The side / is equal to the square root of _squared plus lsquared

Or something. I was getting right answers, so it's enough. Thanks for the help though.

It's illegal because the government needed a reason to deport mexicans.

Sort of.

I'm sure Alpha will give you enough info to write 3 papers.
