That's what I would do. Go see him and tell the guy you've got $1,500 cash with you. Chances are he'll take it.

I would never buy a 130k car. Especially one that looks like he's tried to upgrade. 19 year old guys treat their cars a lot differently than 78 year old grannies.

i was hunting for a car not too long ago, and early90's civics with 200k miles were are goin for 2500$.

depends on the condition of the car, sunroof, might have a moldy interior cause if it from some idiot leaving it open in the rain.

and be careful, the 4 bangers in these civics arent as reliable as everyone says. ive done like 20 motor changes in my life and 15 of them were hondas like this. Which is because if people dont care about their car, and dont change the oil, it doesnt matter how great the engine is.

do not buy a mistubishi unless you are ready for dumping alot of money into it.

if your gonna buy foreign cars, stick with toyota, honda, and subaru

if you go domestic, stick with GM or ford

chevys are ok, as long is its a 3.1 v6, 4.3 v6, or the 2.2 inline 4. stay away from the other motors they made.

well i just got done car hunting, and if you want great gas mileage, dependable, and 1500-2500$ range, 1990-1993 toyota celica is your car. I tried to get one for a couple months, but i couldnt find any near me.

i ended up getting a '96 escort for 475$

1994 cavalier... fun to drive, pretty good room, great on gas, and like pat said, the 2.2 i4 is pretty damn tough.. i used to have one, a '93 it had a 5 speed and i loved that car... only difference between a '93 and '94 is horsepower ('93 had 110, '94 had 120)

If you want something reliable, cheap, and pretty fun to drive then get a swapped civic.

Otherwise if you just want cheap and reliability, a stock civic or any honda will do fine. D-Series are good motors, they are just slow as hell.
