Wow. Airport security

So, I've gotten a few items past the security.

-Jumpdrive
-Motorola Q
-1 stinkbomb (doesn't suprise me, it isn't metal)
-DS Lite charger
-And about 5 quarters

All small stuff, except for the Q, which was in a leg pocket and I didn't know. Yesterday I got the DS Lite charger by in my right hand pocket.

I find it a little scary that these got past the security, I mean, a razor is a lot smaller than a DS Lite charger, and a lot smaller than a Motorola Q.

Anyone else have similar suprises like this?

Jumpdrive is a small portable harddrive, and a Motorola Q, google it.

A whole person let onto a plane once, no ID. Just a ticket.

It worked great, until we had to try to get her onto the return flight to go home.

Back in April I had to open up my luggage, dig to the bottom of everything, and pull out my can of Axe to prove it wasn't some chemical weapon.

I accidentily brought a pocket knife in my backpack to a rugby trip last March. I found it when I got to the hotel in one of the side pockets. lol.

I call that beating the system.

I've devised some ways to get past, but don't really want to share them.

I actually had a thread awhile ago about having a knife in my bag on accident. Yet last time they took my bottle of water. I wanted to scream at the imbred piece of **** that I had a knife last time that they missed and that I would promise not to splash the pilots with water.

I think it would be cool to be one of the people who tries to come up with ways to get past security, like work for the government.

I've kind of been wondering about this (not that I plan on going on a trip any time soon or anything...)

I know you OBVIOUSLY couldn't have a pocket knife with you on a plane...like in your pocket or in a carry on bag...but you could have it in your luggage that goes underneath the plane, right? You couldn't get to it, so...why not?

I've been wondering because I know a lot of people like having a pocket knife (I'm one of them). If I was going to go on a week long trip somewhere, especially like...camping or something, I'd want to be sure I could have it.

I think checked baggage is ok. I think you can still put firearms on with checked luggage as long as they're locked in a gun case and you declare it at check in.

My girlfriend is coming up from NYC for a visit next week. She's only bringing carry-on, no luggage. How can she get her makeup past??

Thought of that, except she wants to use it the morning that she's coming home. Plus it's extra money that we don't have.

Put it in backpack, and if it doesn't work, see if they have any inside airport security, by all the shops and such.

Mail it or buy it. Probably more expensive to buy it.

If she tries to take it on carry on and they find it she'll be throwing it away.

Nah, it's about 7, probably less for me. We already bought the tickets though. Plus my truck isn't too reliable, and the gas is (or was) just as much as plane tickets.

The plane ride is like 20-30 minutes, so it's really just worth it. We'll figure something out. She can probably just use her moms.

Haha, you think there is not a lot of airport security, wait until you get to fly from Moldova(former Soviet Union, near Romania) to some place. WOW...I had two knives in my luggage to go under the plane...and I got like...interrogated by the security...scary.

Pics of a hole chipped in my oversheet (the gray part) on my MacBook soon, the lady yelled at me because it was ontop of the bag, when at my airport that's fine. I hate how these people write their own rules.

She took it out of the container thing to rescan it and dropped it. Now it has a impression mark and a chip..

I've always gotten away with so many things in airport security. You know what's gay though is how they tell you to take off your shoes and belt - at the smaller airports I never have to do that and get through just fine.

nothing got past nashville / tampa air ports.

I had the smallest **** get called there one of my toof caps got caught and he was like can you take it out ? I was like I dunno do you have some type of flat head I could use to pry it off ?

and the lil rivets on some of my travelin sneaks got buzzed.and my watch which i had in my pocket from the last security check... a zipper on my dads leather wallete got questioned.

i think they are doing a damn good job.
