I hate dorms.....

First time in three years I've been sick. My head hurts, my throat hurts, my eyes hurt, my nose is running, and I think I'm running a fever as well. Plus I have homework left to do and two tests tomorrow.

I think most prefer it, and it is usually better for meeting people. However, I'm not sure if any actually require you to stay in the dorms.

who would you live in an apartment with if you didnt live in the dorms first anyway?

and its pretty hard going from living at home > living in an apartment away from home with so much new stuff going on.. i mean, yeah there are alot of benefits of a dorm, but i'd still wait to live in an apartment. im not even in college, but its a pretty general fact that all freshman live on campus. its part of college.

My school (VT) makes freshman stay in dorms. However, I think I like dorms better. Theres more to do, no driving, close to campus, cool people (most of the time).

Trust me, you really don't want to miss out on the dorm experience. Parts of it suck, and one year of it is enough, but it really is an experience you don't want to miss.

I'm sick as **** too, classes seem 5x as long with all this **** going on. I'm so miserable right now so I feel you on this **** dooms.

Coughing up my lung like every 10 secs, and then sniffing during class and ****. Sucks so much.

most schools you have to live in a dorm first year. trust me dude, you want to live in the dorms, its soooooo much better then living at ur own place freshman year. you wont meet anyone and will not have even close to the college experiance if you dont. i lived in a sick nasty brand new "palace" of a dorm freshman year, a school owned apartment last year, and a house this year. i loved it. granted, imuch prefer having my own house (UD is a lot different then most schools. the school owns pretty much a whole neighbor hood and juniors and seniors are givin houses for the same price as the dorms. i live in a land lord, but its still technically on campus)

thats nothing dooms, last year i had the 24 hour flu right in the heart of winter.

btw 24 hour flu was the flu that went around last year, when u got it, you threw up every 20 minutes for 24 hours, after the first like 10 you were all out of stuff to throw up, but that didnt stop your body from trying after like 3 hours my chest was just so damn tired, i just didnt have the energy to vomit anymore.

good times

there is no possible way i can get a degree in 4 years, but illhave 3 degrees in 5 so eat me.

i get good grades, i dont really do ****, and i drink 4 nights a week. im living the dream, but im probably gonna die at 30

o, gpa is probably the least important thing to get out of college. the best thing to do in college is network and get to know people in the industry you want to go into. you can be ****ty in the classroom but if you know the right people u will make an ass ton

my thoughts exactly

if you have a easy major like criminal justice or education or music, then u can get away with having some fun. Like last semester i had a history class and a geography class, i NEVER went, and got c+'s in both.

and if you dont think gpa has a role on your future placement in the world, you got a rude awakening.

if you and I apply for the same job right outta college, say i graduated with a 3.8, and you have a 2.7,....... you can be sure im getting the job

as long as you dont have lower then a 3.0 and have good extraciriculars ur set. they care mostly about leadership experiance. i know bloomberg and a bunch of other financial systems so i have an advantage over 99.5 percent of grads already (only a handfull of schools have bloomberg terminals in the US). i already got a sick internship in philly for this next summer so im pumped

finance, operations management, and economics

i was originally electrical engineering but it bored the hell out of me. then i switched to finance and applied mathmatical economics. i droped the applied mathmatical cuz it is hard as **** and i would have to be in school for another 2 years so screw that.

o, btw, right now i have a 3.4 average. i got a 2.4 my first semester at school cuz i never went to class and i have gotten a 3.4 or higher since. i dont really do ****, i just go to class and it sinks in. im involved with this program called the davis center and its basically one of the most prestegious portfolio management programs in the nation. im not concerned at all with getting a high paying job out of school. if you get a 3.8 and dont get involved in stuff outside of the classroom no1 is going to want to hire you because it does not show that you are a well rounded individual. a firm would rather have someone with a 3.4 average that is involved then a book worm (atleast for my field)

i was super sick last year. like i literly could barely walk. it came all in one day. i also had a test that day, didnt study, and somehow it was my best score in that class, when i pretty much guessed on it all. the wierd thing is, i went to the health center, got some meds, and the next day felt fine

Well, I went to the health center. Apparently I have some sort of upper respiratory/sinus infection and they have me on penicillin for 10 days.

I really hate being sick, I also really hate blue book essay tests.....and combined they make me want to kill a kitten.
