Lol yeah it's wasn't too bad when I test drove it. Was on some ice on an unplowed road and it seemed to do fine. It did much better than my Prelude thats for damn sure.

Hahaha.

The WRX I just factored in I can't afford the monthly payments.

Guy with the Eclipse was asking WAY too much. I left him 2 messages and the twunt never got back to me.

I'm getting the 5.0 if I can talk him down. It's not worth 5k. I found a 92' GT with 67k miles for 4800 OBO so unless he goes down I'm going to pass and go look at the GT.

EDIT: Main purpose of this thread is to show that I finally sold my Prelude. Thing was slow but god I'll miss it.

Oh well I cheer up when I see the 5 grand sitting on my desk.

You think thats bad, you should see it on my truck. Up here we have snowballs fights with the snow off of our vehicles in the school parking lot when we get bored. It's brown because they sand the hell out of the roads so people without 4wd dont die.

That does look nice though, I want one bad. However, getting raped on insurance and having to get a winter beater just makes it to expensive.

Nice LX hatch. A nice little turbo or blower and you'll be rocking. A buddy of mine has two turboed 5.0L stangs, one an LX foxbody. The LX ran low 10's and they kicked him out of Englishtown for not having a cage. They respond nicely to boost.

the only diff is some visual changes and maybe some slight suspension changes. dunno if the lx has 5spd or not. in any case they're both 2door sports cars with big v8 engines in them so insurance shouldnt be too far off.

Z pyro is probably right though. No offense to 1337, my truck is bad enough in the snow. Its only got ~200 horses(4.3l) in a fullsize truck and its still all over the place unless i throw it in 4x4. Z is probably right, he was just being an asshole about it.

I think next summer Im gonna get a quote on a 5.0 and just to see if its not to insane.

ya know, Im not really a ford guy, but I've been pretty impressed with the foxbodies. And dooms is right, they respond very well to boost, though I would recommend a blower over a turbo, just for the low end punch. Had a buddy with a 5.0, all he had done to it was a weiand blower and some higher flow injectors and that thing had some massive pony power. Though I do not recommend driving them in the snow...unless you LIKE shoveling and being cold.

LMAO wow did you guys go squat on the beach or somethin? I didn't say a single thing "bashing" you kid. But when you and your friend are "scared" of a pretty much stock Mustang, I can't imagine you being able to control a Mustang that's easily 350+hp. Sorry bud, it's just truth. Don't get all butt-hurt about it. I actually applaud you crossing over from poser cars to real cars. You'll soon realize just how slow those imports are once you start modifying it.

As for modifying it, just remember that the heads and exhaust are the bottlenecks. Don't bother with a cold air intake, the stock intake already takes air from the fenderwell (but you can get a few hp from just removing the air silencer which is a big useless box inside the fender. it's been dyno tested for a few hp). A good set of heads will run you $600-$1k depending on which ones and if they're new or used. You could also check the junkyards and find a 5.0 Explorer ('95 I think), their heads are a revised set that actually give a decent gain over the stock stang heads. They're called GT40P heads, and you have to get some headers that will fit because the main difference is the spark plugs, they're pointed a little differently and the stock headers will be touching the plug boots and burning them.

If you've got any ?'s just ask. And get the sand out of your vag, the both of you.

Sorry I'm just kind of tired of your ****. But it's all good.

Anyways, that 91 was kinda a POS so today I picked up the 1992 GT. Dunno if I said anything about it but it's red with BLACK ****ING INTERIOR. Very rare for these cars. 5-speed of course, wouldn't drive anything else. Pretty bone stock except for a K&N Air Filter and Dynamax Mufflers.

We drove it home 50 miles in the snow. My dad was driving it and I was following him in his car. It did horrible on the icey/very snowy roads but in the rain/sleet/slush type of **** it did absolutely fine. Supposed to stop snowing tomorrow so by next weekend I'll be driving it. I did a little bit of snow driving and as long as you don't do anything stupid you should be fine. It was tough though, all I would do is spin the tires.

I only drove it up to like 20mph before it started snowing when I test drove it. So I don't know what kind of power it has. But hell 225hp/300tq stock isn't too bad.

Plans for now.. fix minor imperfections and do a tune up. It needs speakers, only the rear ones work but they still sound good. I've got a $450 amp so I'll be getting subs. Everyone says subs in a Mustang are gay but I like having bass when I listen to music, any kind of music that is.

Once I'm satisfied I'll still have like $300-$350 so I'll get a CAI *they are cheap* offroad H-Pipe and than I have no idea. Maybe pulleys. I'd like to find some GT40 heads cause my friend with the Cobra has stock headers off his brother's old 94' Cobra. So if I could find the heads pretty cheap, I could just put those headers on and see a decent power gain for cheap.

How many miles does it have on it? If it's got over 100,000 I'd say just put some miles on it and build up the block when you get the money. Even without an overbore or stroker kit you can get 450hp out of that engine no problem, which is good for 11's.

If it was me I would throw a nice little blower on it to bring it up to about 350hp or so. But, I'm a HP pig.....
