06 stang=teh panzy????

Ok, I'm the biggest mustang fan. So yesterday at work I went to go take the garbage out, and i see these 2 cute blondes in a red 06 pull up.. Well, I'm doin my garbage and smoking and they go to there car. I immediately get a hard on thinkin OMG, dis is sexy, cute blondes and muscle, but to my dismay, the exhaust system, well, lets just say that when I stomp on the buick it sounds better. No distinctive v8 rumble or anything, just sounds like a stock v6, and a weak one at that.

I mean, couldn't the engineers at ford decided that since they decided to re design the mustangs, at least put a stock exhaust pipe on it to make it sound more aggressive????

not everyone wants an obnoxious noise coming out of their car. Some people, especially chicks, and older folks like quiet cars. If they want a rumble, go to the exhaust shop and get a new muffler welded in

Obnoxious? No obnoxious is a fart can on honda. Nice v8 with some flows=teh sex. It just seems wrong to have the car so quiet and held back.

It was probably a V6. The GTs sound decent in stock form. And not everyone wants a loud car. Just becuase you do doesn't mean ****, you can't afford one anyway.

Actually mufflers doesn't even make a car that loud.. Atleast on my 5.0 they don't. I've got Dynomax mufflers and the car is way quiet. Which is why I'm installing MAC headers and O/R H-Pipe today that I just bought yesterday.

But yeah believe it or not, not everyone wants loud exhaust on their cars. Older people who have these cars for daily drivers don't want all that rumble and **** going on.

I can understand that, I know not everyone wants a 40 or a glass pack*which i've never liked glass packs either* but it doesn't have 2 be loud, just atleast not such a bland sound.

It probably wasn't a GT then, the new 4.6L 3v stangs have a nice little burble to them. In fact it was redesigned to give it some sound, as well as flow better. It's definately louder than any of the previous 4.6L 2V GT's stock. The V6s sound like a regular car.

The fact is, most cars are quiet from the factory. Even 1960/1970's muscle cars were pretty quiet, it's just that so many people put pipes on them everyone thinks they were loud stock.

The stock exhaust on my '07 5.3L V8 Envoy is much louder than the stock exhaust on the 1973 460ci (Big block V8) Lincoln Mark I've got sitting in the garage.
