My First Bike

So to curb my want for a sports car (wisconsin weather blows) I've decided to get my motorcycle license. I passed the MSF course this past weekend and I'm looking around at rides. I'm not one for sport bikes anymore - I kinda grew out of the power rangers scene - I'm more into classic cafe racer / triumph / custom harley stuff. Granted the class never took us out of the parking lot I'm scared of getting anything larger than a 250. I've done my reviews and it seems the Ninja and CBR are all the rage in the 250 class, but I've been really diggin the Suzuki TU250 and it's been getting some high praise. Anyone have any experience or have any other recommendations for 250s?

Pics? My buddy offered his 04 250r, he didn't name a price though.

Why are you selling?

cuz I don't ride it. I bought it from a guy at work who needed the money and I had money to blow. It's fun, but i've ridden it like 3 times in the last year or so. I just got the carbs cleaned up and it's running like a top.

I drive around for a living and don't want to drive for fun on my days off, is what it comes down to. If you're serious, I can get you pics of it today.

I don't want you to go too far out of the way, but if you have stuff sitting on facebook or something, just something to sorta mull over ya know? I've been jumping around with options. Yesterday I was all about the Suzuki, all day today I've been dreaming of a Triumph Thruxton.

The previous owner laid it down once, he ended up replacing a turn signal, and the muffler, that's what the scratches are from. There' not a scratch on anything vital though.

If i end up keeping it, i'm cutting off that stupid plastic mud guard on the back.

Not bad. I kind of expected it to be laid down at least once so it's not really a turn off. I'll PM ya after my buddy sends me an offer. Even for a 3-4hr drive, $2k is definitely worth it.

I will only allow you to drive 4 hours and buy this bike if you play paintball with Martix while you are there.

Paintball? What's that?

I'd be down, I'd need a new tank and probably double check the lenses and my cockers timing. That stuff has been sitting on display for nearly 5 years. Last time I played, I borrowed gear. Crazy world we live in.
