Dye Snow

So I just thought I'd post this here to show you guys my experience with Dye Snow lately...

So last year I decided I wanted to get some good quality snowboarding goggles for the next trip to the mountains that I take, and felt that maybe I should support a company that I know makes good goggles (based on my experience with the i4's) and ones that I like, such as Dye. So, I went online and ordered a set of goggles (T1's) from them. After a week with no confirmation, I called in to see what was going on. Apparently, the goggles I had ordered were out of stock (no idea when they planned on letting me know that, but whatever). So then I ordered a different pair over the phone, which they claimed were in stock. Two weeks go by, and again, no confirmation on the order when I went online to check on it. I called in again, and they once again said whoops, those are out of stock too. I asked when they were planning on getting the goggles back in stock, and they had no answer. I had pretty much given up at that point, so I cancelled my order and forgot about the whole ordeal over the summer.

This winter, I tried to order again. At the beginning of November I put in an order for a new model of their goggles (Polarized Bittner T1's). Again, I waited about a week and a half without confirmation. Finally I received an email, and they told me the new goggles I had ordered were out of stock yet again. I asked which ones were in stock, and three days later received a reply. In the reply, they clearly stated that the goggles I had ordered were in stock! I replied telling them to send me the goggles I had ordered already, and received the confirmation from them about a day later.

They just came in last night. I picked them up today, and was really excited to see them. However, when I opened up the package, inside were a pair of Dye T1's, but not the ones I ordered - Although the box clearly says they are the polarized Bittner model I ordered, inside is a pair of polarized flat black T1's. I tried calling them tonight but their lines aren't open until monday morning - I'll be calling them and hopefully returning these then.

All in all, I'm just really disappointed that a company that I know makes such a great quality product and has good customer service on the paintball side of things can have such a disappointing performance like this. I really want to be happy with them, because I know when they do get it right that I will like the goggles, but the process of actually getting what I want has been possibly some of the worst customer service experience I have ever put up with.
I thought maybe I should post this in case any of you were interested in knowing my experience with them so far.

End of rant. Thoughts??

With my limited experience with Dye, my surprise factor from 1 to 10 would be a 3 that you got such lousy service.

I've looked and haven't seen any Dye goggles in stores, otherwise I would in a heartbeat.

DYE CLK and T1 Review
So last yeah dye released two forms of goggles the T1 which looks a little like the smith I/o and the CLK which is thier higher end goggle. The wife bought me CLK's and I won a pair of T1's on thier Friday giveaways so I can review them both.

I wore the T1's for roughly two weeks and the CLK's for the rest of the season.

First the T1's the lens in them was the bronze fire and they come with a second low light lense that is a slightly tinted lense. They also come with a microfiber carring bag.

I found the T1's to be very comfy and had zero issues with fogging. I happen to be a person who has issues with fogging. The one time they started to fog a bit was when I was hiking a park line for about 90 minutes straight. Once I started riding they cleared up and stayed clear.

The downside i discovered with the T1's on a powder day was that if you fail and your face hits the snow there is a small gap around the outside of the lense that will let snow get into the inside of the frame.

To remove the lense you simply pull on them, although they have tabs on the frame like I/o's the tabs are just a visual thing.

The CLK's are named after there "click" system. CLK's come with a hardcase and between 1 and two extra lense depending on if you buy the polarized or non-polarized versions.

The lense changing system on the CLK is hidden behind the goggle strap, there are red buttons on either side of the frame that you press and the lense comes out. It is my favorite lense changing system I have ever tried. There is no danger of smudging up the lense at all and it takes a few seconds to change out lenses.

The fit is similar to the T1 and I happen to love how they fit me. Again I had no issues with fog in these.

The straps on both the CLK and the T1 have a bead of silicone to prevent slipping and the foam on them is soft and comfy.

Anyhow pretty much it I would recommend the CLK to anyone who they fit well, I would probably not recommend the T1 though due to the small gap around the lens and the frame.

So there is hope yet.

I just got off of the phone with Dye, and they said that it was a problem with their website that I got the goggles that I did. They're going to send me out a new pair right away.
Fingers crossed they're the right ones this time.

I wish!! Haha nope, I just sent them back today.
I probably would have just kept the black ones if I didn't like the ones I originally ordered as much as I do - they were pretty nice

New Updates....

So after paying $35 to send the wrong goggles back, I waited around a month *again* for them to ship the correct pair back to me. They came in a week ago, however, they didn't come to my address! Although it clearly states in my account on the website (and on the order) that the shipping address is to my place in Edmonton, they sent the goggles out to my sister's place in Vancouver (they were a christmas present)!!
After she paid another $15 to send them to me, I got them in today. Thinking I was finally done with all of this, I opened the package up....

They're the wrong goggles AGAIN.

I ordered the polarized lens (which are mirrored and fun) which where $45 more, and I received the non-polarized version, which is a plain, faded black lens.

Calling again tomorrow now....

Oh yeah - they also haven't paid or attempted to pay any of my return costs yet. Definitely mentioning that in my phone call too haha
