In all seriousness

Can ya'll make me a site admin? Got some cool ideas to maybe bring this place back to life. Several different ideas to possibly execute.

I mainly say this because it looks like everyone's completely given up on this place. The spam hasn't even been cleaned up in over a month.

Anyways just throwing it out there. I'm pretty active in the paintball community again. I'm in facebook groups with a lot of old school or Pro players. Like I said got some cool ideas possibly for this place just would need the power to execute and start trying.

Or we can just let it die with no dignity. That's cool too. I just have a lot of nostalgia from here and wouldn't mind trying to re-spark the legacy.

I tried to redo this place a year ago or so, but noting came of it. Even PBN is dying.

PM'd

I feel like PBN is still pretty active. I've made some good money off of there lately selling markers and a lot of them I had closed within an hour of posting.

Do you know if VBulletin 3.6.8 allows any kind of login or signup with Facebook/Twitter option?

here's a good example:

GI just is suing valken, and the news broke yesterday
PBN thread: 23 replys
Facebook post from Gino(the founder and CEO of Valken): 131 replys

It certainly doesn't help that I'm unable to provide an external link to the facebook post. I'm pretty sure that they did that on purpose, in order to keep things withing the facebook eco system.

I think it's more to do with we are not on VB4 or 5.

I wasn't sure if the site upgrade would even be worth the new owner's time. But if we could upgrade VB, drive more traffic then their ad revenue would increase.

The question becomes what can we do differently than PBN or Mcarter brown? With no "industry insiders" we can't compete on that level. We can offer solid advice for new players, though; they're not the ones who stick around and help grow a community, not very often.
What do we have to offer that can draw people from the easy accessibility of facebook? The facebook pages are all hot garbage, but it's so easy and because of that, people use them.
I've seriously seen soo much bad advice on those pages. I quit all of them because it was making my head spin; the voice of reason and experience is quickly downed out.

When Facebook banned the sale of paintball markers, I approached several groups about moving to this forum, but though they were interested, nothing came out of it.
There's also the issue of posting images. Lets face it, on a phone, it's downright annoying to post images from a third party service.

The problem with this website is it has too much traffic for them to get rid of it, but not enough for them to actually care about it. My ideas I had involved giveaways that encouraged activity(but not to the point of spam). Without having a vested interest in the website that will obviously not happen. I would love for us to "Make PBF great again", but I'm not sure how easy that will be.

If somebody could find an "in" with a company or two with sneak peaks at items, that would help. However, I think PBN has that locked up already.

Using the crappy website value/worth sites, this place is valued between $2,000-6,000(some have it as under $1k). I've attempted to make a few offers in that range and above that range. Never got any replies or answered calls, so I gave up.
