Shop class can be painful

Ok, so yesterday, i was cutting on the table saw, and the stock i was cutting was too short and i was cross-cutting it, BIG NO NO, the stock ended up turning abou halfway into the cut and shot back at my stomach at like 100 mph, man, it would have really sucked if were 6 inches taller my teacher told me to use the chopsaw, luckily i wasn't hurt that bad

i tend to burn my self alot in my engeneering class, be it with a hott glue gun or a soddering iron, i allways manage to singe some skin

ohh, and for the record, soddering irons are teh coolest things in the world, you can make liquid metal that dries before it hits teh ground

painful, thats one way to describe my shop class
we have had two injuries this year. One kid cut his finger on the bandsaw, not too bad, didn't bleed alot. The other kid thinks he is tough, but he slit his finger on the table saw. Pretty badly, too. Trail of blood all the way to the nurse's office. Kid was white as a sheet when he told the teacher what had happened.

Speaking of getting hurt in shop class...

The other day in my shop glass some freshman got put in a choke hold by a senior and he passed out. Pretty funny, the funniest part was that the teacher was yelling "1...2....3...etc." and counted to 10 like it were a wrestling match. The teacher ended up getting probation for that and the kid got a 10 day suspension.

Thats a pretty paintful story but i think ive got one with an even worse scenario. My freind took the heads out of an old 400 motor he was going to rebuild. So we take everything apart and one step was to regrind the valve seat so that the angels matched up better. Well if you know what an assembled head looks like, the rocker hold the valve and spring down essentially. My freind Ben was trying to re-install it with a spring compressor when it let go of the valve spring and shot him straight in the nuts. Its was downright hilarious. He was running around the shop with his nuts in his hand. To give you an idea of how hard those are to compress, you could probably push an average size valve spring down 1/18 of an inch with your hands....So imagine how much force it was coming off of a compressor with. Lol.
