Best Bassist

I just wanted to see who you thought was the best bassist. If you choose other tell who. These are a few good ones that I commonly listen to.

I don't really consider them the best bassists, but the basslines in Limp Bizkit's first CD I love and the basslines in a lot of Tool songs.

Les is pretty damn good though, as are all of them listed.

Oh, and if anyone says Fieldy from KoRn, you lose.

I know.. all of them kick ass. I cant decide between any of em. The most I can come up with is the one I least like, which is Cliff Burton, but he is amazingly good, just in Metallica I think more about guitar than bass.

How about some bassists from my generation, like John Entwistle of "the Who." He kicks ass. Also Geddy Lee from Rush -- Old rickenbacher base player..

I'm insulted. I'm not saying the Used suck (I don't like them, but...I'm not saying that) but seriously, saying that any one of the members from that band can "own" other bands is not true. They're just a mediocre screamo band, not the most talented humans to ever walk the planet.

the best one there is claypool. i saw primus in march when they came to VA on the tour de fromage. i think i got high from second hand weed smoke. but anyway, victor wooten, claypool, jaco pastorius, stu hamm, and even john myung from dream theater are the best.
