Nitrogen tanks/N20 explained.

Most people know this. But a couple people obviously don't know this. I found it in someone's signature, posted it, and someone thought the same.

I don't know much about nitrogen for the paintball but I know it's different.

NItrous oxide is two molecules and one oxygen molecule combined. WHen burned with gas, it allows for more oxygen to be burned for boost. A dry system is just 2 nitrous molecules and one oxygen molecule combined. Wet system is the same with additives so it's a little more explosive when it hits. That's what's in most direct port systems. I might have missed some points, but they are not the same thing.

He's not talking about paintball.

He is talking about using a nitrous oxide booster system for a car.

I think he is trying to point out that the N2 used in some HPA systems is NOT the same as the N20 used in cars.

So. I guess it belongs here.
Interestingly, N20 is stored as a liquid, and has very similar properties as liquid Co2.

Yeah no2 in paintball is just compressed atmosphere, or compressed "air". The only reason I can imagine its slang to call it nitro is the vast majority of the earths atmosphere is Nitrogen gas.
Help me out here HP.

HPA - The air we breath. 75% nitrogen, 22% oxygen, 3% misc
N2- 100% nitrogen. Same properties as HPA.
CO2- Carbon Dioxide.
Freon- A common propellant overseas. Similar to Co2.

N20- Nitrous Oxide. Laughing Gas. Used as oxidizer in cars, etc. Similar properties to Co2, but NOT used in paintball
N02 - Nitrogen Dioxide- Toxic. Main componet of smog

Plus a wet system has additives to make it go even faster.

How can some of you be so stupid?

Sure nick is smart but you look like an idiot when you praise him as a genious when he says something that I would hope most people know.

Hmmm.... let's see here.

Nick knows all about paintball.
Nick knows all about history.
Nick knows all about economics.
Nick knows all about guns.
Nick knows all about chemistry.
Nick knows all about programming.
Nick knows all about American politics.
Nick knows all about world politics.
Nick knows a good bit about cars.
Nick knows a good bit about religion.

There's probably a hundred things I didn't mention, but you get the point. HP's pretty smart.

Then again, he could be faking it all.
