Soccer Madness

Does anybody here follow soccer at all? I did when I lived in England, cuz it was awesome, and EVERYBODY watched it and had a team. If you do, who's your team. I think I gotta go with Liverpool, but I give barcelona it's props because Rolindihno (i can't spell that crap) is amazing. Oh, Beckham sucks btw.

I cannot stand to watch soccer. I played for four years and hated it....[American] football on the other hand, now there's a sport.

I went to an Arsenal game and a few revs games when I was younger.. not as intense as football but still entertaining. Also saw Korea vs. Japan at the 94 cup and Scotland vs. Norway in the 98 cup. The world cup games were a blast because the fans were out of control. My brother is trying to talk me into trekking to Germany for the 2k6 cup.. we'll see.

American soccer is fun to watch but to really appreciate the sport you have to see it in a country where it is the national pastime.

well while we are on the topic of soccer....

i went to jersey for a little bit while i went to new york. anyways, to make a long story short, we were on this street called "portugal avenue" and it also had a ton of brazillians because they speek portugese too, just like me. the same day we went there, there was a HUGE game between brazil and argentina for the south america Cup or sumtin like that.

so we come out of a store, and the streets are FULL. cars couldnt move. people in cars jsut sat there and honked their horn. mean while, every one on the whole street is chanting "rah rah rah, argentina F*cked its self" they would have tipped cars.... u would walk by a group of drunks and here them amkin plots to do stuff like that, but they had TONS of cops all around.

any who, it was crazy. so many flags, jerseys, air horns, and brazillians and portugese people...

I started it because I was bored pretty much. I was talking to my friend about Euro 2004, and how whoever put money on Greece came out rich (what were the odds? 300-1 or some ungodly number like that?). Then I saw my jersey.. and was like... eh, somebody might respond. Yeah.

And I gotta give props to Brazil... the training is too crazy.. up in the mountians, so when they come down it's like... "hey neat... air. Now we can run forever" those dudes are too sick

Legal! VocÍ assistiu o EuroCup? Eu senti pena de Portugal, estava torcendo por vocÍs o tempo todo. Damn Greeks!

Hahah, yeah I know that Brazil's portuguese and Portugal's portuguese are slightly different. Lol, if you didn't understand what I said (which I don't think that was a problem, was it?), don't worry about it. I basically said that Portugal should have won the EuroCup, I was rooting for you guys from beggining till end.

BTW, eu adoro o sotaque PortuguÍs!

Falou! Tchau.

Isn't that some type of sweet recipe made from milk, more specifically, the skin that builds up on the milk?

Nope, I've never had that, but I'm a big fan of all these "doces caseiros" (traslated: homemade sweet recipes, I guess).

My favorite Portuguese dish is "bacalhau". You have to know what that is. It's the absolute best cod-fish dish. It is extremely popular in Brazil.
